Concussion Training
Hockey Canada and Goulds Minor Hockey are serious about working with administrators, coaches, safety people, trainers, officials, parents and players to create the fun respectful environment we all expect in the game.
Hockey Canada has passed a zero tolerance rule to any contact above the shoulders. This combined with education awareness, strong player development and respect for the game will reduce injuries like concussions and help to keep the game fun for all. Hockey Canada has created a library of great tools and needs the help of Members, Minor Hockey Associations, team staff, and officials to PASS IT ON!
The below table Safety and Respect is available for all Head Coaches to teach Players, Coaches and Parents what to look for when spotting a concussion.
